We were not able to trace when the first organ was installed at the parish church of Broechem.
There are indications of expenses for organist or repair of an organ in the accounts from 1545 on.
A new organ was ordered and built by Hans Goltfuss and his apprentice Jan Dekens in 1645-51.
This Goltfuss organ was taken over by Theodoor Smet for 600 guilders in 1830, when he replaced it by the J-B. Forceville organ.
